Asda Chicken is from Thailand?

I've just bought a ready to cook meal from Asda (Asda Chicken Tikka Masala) and was astonished when reading the ingredients that the chicken is from Thailand !

Why Thai chicken, aren't Euro chickens good enough or is it all down to cost ?

What do you think ?

They import it from Thailand probably because they think that the British chicken will be actually Horse Meat. \(^O^)/

My guess is labor, facilities and regulatory factors make Thailand-raised chickens cheaper to bring to market than EU-raised chickens.
