Taxes; Can't E' File if Corporate office is in Canada?
My husbands Company's Corporate Office is in Canada, but he works here in the US. The Tax Cut software is saying that we can't E' File if the company is out of the US.
Not sure if this is a glitch in the Tax Software or if this is an IRS thing?
Tried calling HR Block and they want to charge $20 for talking with them. NOPE. Not going to do that. IRS not available today.
Can anyone shed some light on this? We're still going to call the IRS tomorrow, but just wondering if someone else may know the answer.
Thanks so much!
EDIT: Finally got through to someone who can help. They said it has got to be a software issue. It shouldn't be doing this. So, they have to escalate this issue to a higher technical level to get it rectified. OYE. But at least we're making some progress here. :-D

The IRS can give you an answer but I would suggest that has to do with your tax software because there are questions that they may not want to try to cover, such as whether you might owe taxes in Canada because the home office is there, and so on.
