Best beer choices for non-beer drinkers?

I've always been into alcohol but I'm not so much of a beer drinker. I'd like to get into beer more because it doesn't make you buzzed as fast as alcohol LOL! I've had bud light----> not a fan. it tastes better with lime but still not a fan. Sam Adams octoberfest is okay. Blue moon didn't sit well with me. what types of beer should i try for being the non-beer drinker that i am?

Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Newcastle Brown Ale, Lindemans Raspberry/Framboise Lambic are all easy to drink, tasty beers. Why not visit a brewery or bar and ask for tasters? They go for $0.50-$1 per taster and it's a good way to find beers that you like/don't like inexpensively.

well i probably wouldnt start off with heavy/dark beers. i really like red stripe, you can find it in alot of places. sweet water(blue is my favorite) is a good one to try. i really like magic hat as well- elderberry would be a good one to try. yuengling is pretty good for a lighter beer and isnt that expensive. for darker beers ive recently started drinking flying dog, good with meals and such. but if youre just drinking to get drunk youll want to stick with pale ales probably- they're cheap and dont get you fat as fast as the other beers ( coors, miller, bud)...they dont taste particularly good, but id get used to hem simply because if youre at a ball game thats all theyre going to serve.
