Will a non power over ethernet (POE) camera work when connected to a network video recorder (NVR) POE port?

    As long as the camera has power to it. POE uses the wires that are not used by standard Ethernet so the signal lines are still the signal lines! As a general statement the lines that use power aren't even connected inside non-POE equipment.

    Yes, without a PoE interface, you have to buy AC/DC adapter. Hope it helps.
