Anyone with education credits get there 2013 refund yet?

My taxes were accepted via tax act on Jan 26th just before the delay on the education credits was announced. And mine like everyone else's then apparently got put on hold as its been "processing" every since. Initially it displayed a orange progress bar, apparently new this year. Now 5 days after IRS started "processing" these returns .. and its my understanding all those accepted prior to delay would be processed first ... the orange bar is gone and it simply says "Processing". Was wondering anyone else see any progress on theirs with similar situations to mine? Previously accepted now waiting? Any updates on an anticipated deposit date, actual refunds anything?

As it stands, there is no further delay reported by the IRS. The most recent address to the delay can be found at http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-To-Accept-Retu... where the IRS acknowledges a hold until "Mid-February" (no particular date) and they also claim that you "should" have a refund within 21 days of the acceptance date.

My understanding is that most of us whom submitted a return (using form 8863) prior to Mid-February had their form received by February 15th or 16th and accepted within 48 hours. Based on the information available, our refunds will be sent by March 10th at the latest.

However, this is the same IRS that pushed the initial file date back two weeks just a week before Jan 18 and then again pushed those with the education credit back even more. They have given me personally three 21 day deadlines (the first two have expired).

So I would expect your return by March 10th at the latest and pray that there are no more delays. I would keep an eye out for any updates from your filer or the IRS and check the refund tracker once daily. Good luck!

I e-filed my taxes on the 27th of Jan. but like many, due to a education credit, I was accepted by the IRS on the 14th as well. I am still on the first bar, but I have also noticed that the website has not been updated since Feb. 15th, 2013. I am not sure if this makes a difference, but I did notice. I also have just received a e-mail stating that it would be no later than 21 days or March 6th, 2013. I do not, however, know if the e-file was accepted for a refund as someone stated above.

Education credits are going to be delayed even further. I got a tax act email that said they were going to be processed late February early march on email even though the are being accepted as of the 14th. Also my cousin called this morning and they told her it'll be another 30 days until they get to her refund. I wonder if they doing the education credits manuall.

I'm no longer definite in regards to the 90 day wait, but I crammed my taxes on the nineteenth of Feb, my tax reliable did inform me considering the fact that of my schooling credit score it could take the IRS one other 9 days this 12 months to method my return. So that's a total of 29 days to wait for my refund, that sucks however its yet another 400 dollars for me so some thing. Hopefully your hear something quickly! Just right luck with the IRS, they are so gradual this yr, I filled the identical approach/ with the identical education credit final 12 months and that i obtained my return in lower than 10 days.

I filed mine jan. 30 through turbotax. Then I recieved an e-mail stating that education credits will be started on feb. 14th. I got another e-mail on feb. 14th stating that my refund was accepted. When I go to check on my refund at https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetsta... it says : We have received your tax return and it is being processed.

You should get your refund within 21 days from the date we received your tax return.

which means from the date that they accepted it. I'm thinking that it will be anywhere from 7-10 days like everybody elses I know. I have not recieved any e-mail telling me it will take longer . If you call the irs all they will tell you 21 days and blah blah blah. its just a waiting game. Honestly theres nothing I can do but wait even tho I REALLY need that check

They are being delayed even further?? I used TT and haven't received an email like that yet. I wish they would at least give everyone the same answers! It would save a lot on the overload of the website and everyone calling to ask the same question!
