Need help balancing equations for chemistry.?

Balance:

A: C6H12O6(s) + O2(g) --> CO2 (g) + H2O (g)

B: H20 (l) + P4O10 (s) --> H3PO4 (aq)

C: PCl5(g) + H2O (l) --> HCl (aq) + H3PO4 (aq)

complete and balance:

A: Li(s) + O2(g) -->

B: Ca(s) + N2(g) -->

C: Al(s) + S(s) -->

The way the book explains it I just can't understand it. I get the mol concept and I was able to do all the problems of converting mols to grams and visa versa and atoms to mols and everything else. But this balancing thing is confusing the heck out of me.

    A: C6H12O6(s) + *6O2(g) --> *6CO2 (g) + *6H2O (g)

    B: *6H2O (l) + P4O10 (s) --> *4H3PO4 (aq)

    C: PCl5(g) + *4H2O (l) --> *5HCl (aq) + H3PO4 (aq)

    I starred where I added something to make it stand out a bit more...

    A: 4Li(s) + O2(g) --> 2Li2O

    B: 4Ca(s) + 2N2(g) --> 2Ca2N3

    C: 2Al(s) + 3S(s) --> Al2S3

    just make sure you know that the numbers before elements/compounds are coefficients and those after are subscripts. I hope I helped and good luck with understanding it!
