How long jail time for this ?

So just wondering how long jail time could you get for smoking weed AND growing a lot of it.

Update:

Btw this is for my scumbag neighbor who threats his family like ****.

He has like a greenhouse full of the stuff in summer but he doesn't sell it might smoke with his friends.

And also should i call the police every since i moved here all i hear is him screaming at his kids.

Update 2:

How do i know hes a scumbag ? The guy beats the **** out of dogs if they start barking.I'm not saying hes a scumbag for smoking weed.

There isn't many house on the street and its out the countryside. Look i don't wanna go into to much detail about the guy i don't know what hes been through but what he is doing isn't right.

Depends on the state, and the situation. If by a lot, you mean in excess of an ounce, that could easily be a felony charge, if that is the case, you not looking at jail. Prison.

Best advice, posting questions like that on the internet is foolish. All of that stuff can be traced and used as evidence. Research your state laws and if you or someone you know has been busted, say nothing to the police and hire an attorney IMMEDIATELY.

you can't get arrested for smoking weed but it you grow weed you can but you would only get hold for a few days then let out with a few citations and a court date but if they have more than 5 plants then they can be held for a felony. and exactly how do you know he is growing marijuana having a greenhouse isn't just for weed you do know this right? and nobody is going to have a greenhouse in their backyard in a residential neighborhood to grow weed so if you call the cops and they dont find any type of marijuana plants you can be cited for false police report. and how does screaming at his kids make him a scumbag? he smokes his own weed he doesn't seem to be selling it to anyone you have no proof he is growing weed and you don't know if he is abusing his children or disciplining his children everyone yells at their kids when they act up and the majority of people spank their kids when they act up so you should either move out or mind your business if you dont like what your surroundings are then leave they were there first so they dont need to go anywhere.

Sure, immoderate sentences can be voided as violating the 8th modification provisions. But simplest the place the sentence is for a single crime. If so, it used to be more than one different convictions, each of which carried a essential minimum sentence that itself would now not be excessive underneath the 8th amendment. Or put another means -- the 8th modification best protects you in opposition to a single giant boulder, no longer an avalanche of pebbles.

Call the cops and report the grow house. Manufacturing a controlled substance is a felony and doing so with children present is a lot of additional charges. I would call the cops.

Source(s): Anywhere between several years on probation to several years in prison. If the local police won't do anything call the DEA. The feds will.

If someone is illegally growing, & you know for a "fact"; yes! Just remember you could get slapped with filing a false police report &/or harassment if the police investigate & none of your claims are valid as you are seemingly trying to factually advise.

The answer ahead, right before mine, hits the rest of it to a tee. =]

How much is "a lot'? Depends if it is "intent to supply". My friend got 2 years for having a fair amount in his apartment (like, more than what he could claim was personal use).

Do you live in Colorado? Because then they would laugh at you over the phone and hang up
