Will the Baby Boomers never let another cold war happen?
Even though many people blame Baby Boomers for the current economic mess we are in can we agree that their generation will always be on top of any nuclear threat to the United States. I am NOT a baby boomer and did not grow up in the cold war era like they did. When the Boomers were children they were reminded all the time of what to do in case of a nuclear attack. When Reagan won the Cold War and the Soviet Union fell many boomers praised Reagan. Because of this today's baby boomers in congress will always be on top of any possible nuclear threat. It is very easy to take not worring about a nuclear holocaust for granted.
Should the Baby Boomers be praised for keeping a nuclear threat non existant for over 2 decades?

The baby doomers (Generation War and Greed) are the worst generation ever. They never diverted a cold war. They used proxy wars to fight it and meanwhile destroy our economy

Reagan didn't win the Cold War.
NATO won the Cold War.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is human history's most powerful military alliance.
NATO's not something the US created. It's something the US joined.
NATO was conceived by a Canadian diplomat named Escott Reid.
The Cold War was a standoff between NATO and the Soviet Union plus Red China.
Both of them chose to lose the Cold War to NATO rather than lose a shooting war.
NATO's the reason there wasn't a 3rd World War and why there never will be one.
With a current total of 28 nations, it's actually more powerful now than during the Cold War.
No nation's dumb enough to start a war with NATO; they wouldn't survive, let alone win.
So yes, credit is due to baby boomers for NATO.
It's the reason Earth isn't a lifeless burnt out cinder of a planet spinning through space.

Pakistan is unstable and has about 100 Nukes. Now North Korea has them. Iran will likely have them soon. Not a good trend at all in my book.
