What are side effects of cocaine, short and long term?

positive: gives you confidence, enables you to be able to drink lots more alchohol than usual without getting slurry or staggery, gives you body feelings that you grow to enjoy, even though there not really that nice, like needing to go to the toilet urgently, makes your brain much more alert so you can concentrate on things more.

negative: Outside of a short burst of euphoria, energy, alertness and hubristic confidence, there's not that much to recommend about coke. As soon as that short high wears off, damage starts occurring. It restricts blood flow to the heart, causing arrhythmia and heart attack, it can damage the nasal passages, cause ulcers, ruin your sexual function, constricts blood flow to the brain, cause kidney failure...

..it also cause paranoia, elevated risk taking and generally makes its users act like idiots. It's a really expensive drug for a tiny little high and it's illegal as hell.

cons: lose your sense of smell / taste, brain damage - your iq literally drops with each use of cocaine, lose the ability to derive pleasure from anything permanently. you can die of stroke or heart failure with just one use.
