i need help with an art paper?
I need to write a 3 page paper on a work of art. I chose a painting already but I'm confused as to how to write three or more pages on it. The paper is basically supposed to be about how we feel about the painting and what are our thoughts. I know I can write about that but I know that's not going to be long enough for more than two pages. I need suggestions on what else my paper could be about? I know I can research the artist and incorporate that somehow into my own thoughts on the painting but other than that I'm stuck. Help?

I've done these before and never been able to shut up on a painting. I usually start by making a list of all the components of the painting: certain areas, shadow, shading, light source, objects, style, artists style etc.. Then each paragraph would be about these different elements. You can write about not liking the way the artist perceived the face or flower or whatever is in the painting. The brush strokes look wild or carefully placed. Do you think it would have looked better in a different medium like acrylic or oil paints? Is the style photorealism? Fantasy-real? Stylistic but still recognizable? You could go into the artist themselves and look at a few other pieces to compare the style (don't spend too much time doing this though or your paper looks unfocused). Another idea is to write about how the authors choices in styles and elements gives the audience a certain feeling. Like the lots of blue makes it look freer or more contrast. Or even what was your overall impression of the image? Did you immediately look at it and find it interesting? Why? Why did you pick that one anyway? Did the color stand out? The style? Etc... Hope that helps :)

Write about why you were attracted to the painting. Write about what materials were used (that's important in art)write the date and artist , and write your opinions on what aspects of the artists life inspired the painting. Write how you can relate the painting to something in your life. Write what the painting reminds you of . Write detailed compliments on the painting.

Try incorporating cheese into your paper. Bitches love cheese.
