Does anyone think Kevin Harvick will be able to take the #29 with him to SHR?

I was looking at my Nascar gear last night and realized I have a lot of stuff with the #29 on it!

It will all depend on Richard Childress who leases the number from NASCAR. If Harvick wants the number he may have to go the Childress. The hang up will be that whoever replaces Harvick could use his points to get into the early races like Stenhouse will race on Kenseth's points in the 17 and Kenseth will race on Logano's points in the 20 from the previous year since Roush kept the 17 and Gibbs kept the 20. I know a lot of Dale, Jr. fans who had tons of stuff with the 8. My dad loved Mark Martin and has a lot of 6 stuff and now that car is no longer racing after Ragan had to leave Roush for lack of a sponsor.

No. The #29 is an RCR number, well traditionally anyway since the unfortunate death of Dale Sr. He most likely would get a new number when he goes over.

The question is, "can" he keep the 29...

The answer is YES he can.

If Richard doesn't care about keeping it.

All that has to be done is SHR just applies for it.

Childress could drop the number (29) and the car reverts to 3 and Austin Dillon drives it after this year. It'd be a bit like Yates sendin' 88 to Hendrick, as was said. So, Harvick and 29 may go to Stewart-Haas together.

It could be possible but tricky to negotiate. Richard Childress would have to agree to let Kevin Harvick (if he even wants to in the first place) take the rights to the number with him over to Stewart Haas. Seeing as Childress owns the rights right now, he may not wanna cough the number up.

It'd be the same deal as 5 years ago when Robert Yates allowed the rights to the #88 transfer over to Hendrick Motorsports when they signed Dale Jr.

No RCR owns the rights to that number.

NO--The numbers are assigned by nascar to the teams

TEAMS DON,T LEASE THE NUMBER, THEY OWN IT, AND IF STEWART WANTS TO BUY THE NUMBER 29, THAT UP TO RCR
