Legal suggestions on how to remove tenant to sell property?
Have decided to sell my property asap and need to end a month to month lease with tenant. How do I do this and still be as professional and nice as possible?
It got complicated tho. Family member is tenant and now that I want to sell, she wants to buy. But she wants to subtract her 14 months rent from my asking price that is already below market value for the area. She wants a city lot with all city utilities plus the older Mobile home, for $5000 dollars. I may be old but not stupid. She also has changed most all our rental agreement meanings to suit her and cheat me. Written agreement. I may have a cash offer for my asking price but the Real Estate people want her out.
SEV value for just the lot is just over $17000.oo

Give her the notice required by your state law. Give it to her in writing via certified mail, this way she can't dispute that she never received it.
Also, she is more than welcomed to make an offer on your home and you are more than welcomed to reject it. If she's willing to pay market value, great. If not, who would be stupid enough to sell it for less?
Give her notice and have the completion/closing date set within a few weeks of her scheduled moving out. If she refuses, it will drag this out and there will be an eviction notice bla bla bla.

You give her a 30 day written notice. It will start on March 1 and she has until March 30 to move.
Tell her that you are not interested in her offer, but thank her for it.

Give your tenant proper written notice as per your landlord tenant regulation in your area usually 30-90 days.
