Why is the Word of GOD eternal & unchanging but science changes its mind every 5 minutes?

So being eternally wrong is better than incorporating new information and improving as you learn more?

As I understand it modern Christians say once Jesus acted as a sacrifice to appease the blood lust certain regulations were no longer applicable. This represents a shift in the standards and word of the god as much as adjusting information based on better information. Only with religion it's just a lot more arbitrary and nonsensical.

The 'Word of God' may not change, but people's interpretation of it certainly does. That is why people used to use it to justify slavery. Science changes 'its mind' (though not every 5 minutes) because it is a process of discovery and learning. When science finds new facts it learns from them. Religion often refuses to change and so learns nothing.

The best response they could give would be this one. We know there is a law of gravity but then we found out about the laws of lift and thrust and now have jumbo airliners. So a good argument would be god knows everything and we are just starting to find a small glimpse of his mysteries.

Because God knows everything but scientists are still learning.

Because the Word of the God Yahweh is based on His advanced scientific knowledge that mankind mistranslated into the religious text we still think it means. On the way to the promised land, God had Moses wage a war campaign against the Midian. I have had some Christians proclaim that these Midianite girls were not taken for raping but marriage. How ridiculous! If you continue further in the scripture you will find that marriage to a Midianite was a crime against God. A man named Zimri, broke the law and married a Midianite woman this angered God so he sent a plague among the Hebrews. Fortunately, a zealous son of Israel speared Zimri right through the genitals, and the plague went away. So now I ask you, if you could not marry a Midianite, just what were these “virgin woman who were to help multiply” good for?

Because scientists aren't afraid of admitting that they are wrong. They obtain verifiable evidence to test the accuracy of their theories. Scientific theories evolve and become modified as new available evidence is collected. I suggest you do some sufficient research on Human evolution because you haven't got a clue on what it is.

In addition, you are still gullible enough to believe in primitive, superstitious and unsubstantiated religious dogma proposed no more than 2000 years ago.

EDIT: The Bible has been altered numerous times by unidentified authors over hundreds of years which has been translated into thousand of languages.
