Where to stay in Pismo beach area California?
Two adults and one toddler - we regularly share a queen bed. We'd like to stay on the beach or within walking distance if possible - especially for afternoon naps. We would like to spend no more than $200/night, less would be wonderful.
Are there other beaches in the area that would be better with a toddler? We like Moonstone and Morro as well.
Sandcastle Inn is quoting me $230/night during our vacation time. Can I beat that anywhere in the area? We'd prefer to stay Ocean Front if possible. If we can't stay Ocean Front we want the best room we can get in any area beach.
Where would one stay in San Luis Obispo? Any Ocean Front or Ocean View?

Unfortunately, most ocean front areas are pretty costly. It's pretty difficult to find an area that's $200 a night. There is a Motel 6 off 4th street in Pismo Beach and in reality, it's not that bad at all. Plus, it's only a short drive to te beach as well.

last time i went to the area with my BF we stayed at embassy suites in SLO. only a short scenic drive away from Pismo. we like ES because of the spacious two room suites, free breakfast, complimentary happy hour, and the friendly clientele there.
we did research into hotels in Pismo, and they are a bit pricer ($50-100) more per night due to being closer to the beach.
if you go to Pismo off season, you can find good rooms there for your price range, but you probably cannot find a room under $200 during peak time (spring and summer)
