Of course as in the obvious example of cyber bullying.

There is already a great social divide between those who have a computer and those who do not, but now we add a new level: those who have access to the internet. There is still more social division with those who have high speed access versus those who are limited to dial-up.

People who are limited to smart phone access to social media are at a decidedly greater disadvantage to self expression in this medium than those who have more storage and processing power.

Of course the same limitations that set some apart also serve to unite them as a cohesive minority. Damnyouautocorrect is one example of that.

Still the meme producers tend to have access to powerful graphics programs in addition to smartphones and are just sympathetic patronizers while those limited to smartphones tend to be mere followers or patrons.

People who have the most online presence will suffer in lack of real world experiences. An example of this is the 4chan virgins who are essentially sociopathic in nature and cannot adapt to prison life so they must be isolated for their own protection.
