Just curious, if Texas turned to blue state, would they overnight stop being considering inbred hicks?

Would they magically join the cool club of, "spend everyone's money and devalue our currency into oblivion crew"?

Update:

@Obamessiah.... You captured what I was talking about. That is what would happen.

Update 2:

I'm just saying right now liberals will call them names and crap, but if they showed signs of turning blue, liberals would start sucking their knob (well liberals would do that anyway blue state or not, but you know what I mean).

yes ive heard it will turn blue in ten years or sooner... i think people will automatically assume its just a poor welfare state that is dragging the economy down at that point.... and the hicks will still be there, people will say, but now the hicks are surrounded by mooches.

No, Texas will always be a Red State no matter what. We are proud of our state and we are an example to all of the other crappy states in the nation. We get things done right the first time and we don't BS when it comes to justice. I can only imagine if what would happen if Texas became a blue state. We might have the shooting problems that all of the BLUE states have. Ex. IL, CA, etc.

They wanted to secede from the Union back in 1860, but were not allowed to do so, I don't think you have to worry about them becoming Democrats anytime soon. Texans will always be tied to the Republic, it's an oil state, THE oil state in the U.S.

You do realize that a large majority of people in texas are not actually FROM texas? And that the vast majority of them live in major cities? Maybe you should educate yourself a little better. We also have a good economy, an a very high education rate.

They would be bluenecks. Get it it? No? Well you see.... many politically active citizens of Texas are referred to as "rednecks". If they changed into a blue state, that would therefore make them bluenecks, as they are no longer red.

In order to become a "blue state", they would have to *actually change* from being in-bred hicks, so, yes.
