Packing Tips & What to Bring?
when should you start packing for a holiday? I love packing it's one of my favourite parts of going on a holiday. I'm leaving for NZ in 6-7 weeks and I'm going for 2 and a half weeks. What are things I should pack (other then the nessecities tooth brush, shampoo, undies etc), and what are some tips on packing and saving space?
Also what are something's I should bring on my carry on? I'm thinking of some school work seeming that I'm in year 12 I'll most likely have an assignment or homework and could do it on the plane.
Thanks(:

Well, Sweetie , take it from a seasoned traveller.....take as little as possible. After all you have to cart your luggage with you.
4 X undies
2 pr shorts
3-4 tops
1 x sweater
2 X jeans
1 jacket - it will be getting cool in NZ by then, if going to the South Island add another sweater or hoodie.
1 pr joggers
1 pr thongs or flip flops, depending where you live and sandals
1 pr socks
!x pkt sanitary products.
! x bar laundry soap so you can wash undies after shower each night.
Saving space. Get some big sealable plastic bags, put undies in one, tops in another and so on. Push the air out of them and seal them. You will have a much smaller pile of clothes, you can see what is in each pack and they will take up less room in your bag.
Re make up - just the bare essentials. Don't take a hair dryer, all motels/hotel have them.
Take a book, ipad, crosswords, whatever you like in carry on plus a spare pr undies, a couple of panty liners, toothbrush/paste. (luggage can go missing).
Lay out the clothes you have and then colour code them. Pick colours that co-ordinate. Example go for navy or black pants/shorts and choose red, white, yellow, green tops.
enjoy your holiday.
PS I have just returned fro 8 weeks' road trip in the US. I did not take much more than this. It fitted in one very small roller bag, was easy to cart around and I had enough clothes to last. I have to admit to being really sick of those clothes when I got home, though.
