what excites you most about your team this year?
New players added to the list, players returning from injury, new coach/gameplan etc...
For me seeing West Coasts Potent forward line back on the field, in particular Mark Lecras and Josh Kennedy getting back to their best following injury ruined 2012 campaigns . Also the depth we have added in the off season will have the rest of the team playing their best to keep their spots. Can't wait for this Nab cup bs to be over and season prper to begin

West Coast:
Getting our Forward line back would probably be the best thing for us. LeCras, Kennedy, Nicoski all available for Round 1. Add Darling, Hill and Cox into the mix, and it stands out as an Elite Forward line.
Our Defense is already in great shape with Glass, Hurn, Mackenzie, Schofield, Butler, Selwood and Waters all in there.
Our Midfield is looking sharp as well, with X-Magpie Wellingham adding some depth into it.
Overall, i am hoping for a Top 4 finish. We could also finish undefeated in Perth this year with all our Forwards back. Last year, we only lost against 1 game against Freo and the Premiers (Sydney) without Kennedy, LeCras and Nicoski in the side.

Cats: Premiers in the odd numbered years :-)
So much to choose from - great blend of young and old - 21 AFL premiership players are too many to list. Add 17 VFL Premiership players from last year - the development squad has been extraordinary. Anyone who wants to doubt the quality is there is just foolish.
What I love though is that the weaknesses of last year (losing the rucks and clearances) have been addressed with new rucks (five options in Vardy, HMac, West, Simpson (inj) and Josh Walker who did a remarkable job against Sandilands) and new ruck coaching.
Some future megastars coming through in Caddy, Horlin-Smith and Stringer give the Cats 13 quality options in the midfield (Bartel, Selwood, Caddy, Kelly, Corey, Duncan, Johnson, Varcoe, Chapman, Christensen, Stringer, Horlin-Smith and Motlop) I haven't even counted Murdoch or McCarthy in there as I suspect they'll play back and forward.
Up forward, add Dan Menzel back into the fray, add 5 kg to Tom Hawkins who is now close enough to 200cm and 115kg and has gathered a bit of mongrel. And chuck Nathan Vardy in there who is superfast, 198 cm and 100 kg - he's like a faster version of the Tomahawk. Fact is Christensen, Chapman, Johnson and Bartel will probably move forward a lot of the time and I don't think there'll be a better forward line than Hawkins, Vardy, Bartel, Christensen, Chapman, Menzel and Johnson - who matches up on Hawkins? Now cover the rest of them!
There are the knockers out there reckoning the Cats are gone (too old etc etc) but this is the best looking Cats team out of the last 10 years. Average age 24 years, 1 month. No of players over 30 = 5, no of players over 32 = 0
Excited? You betcha :-)

I am excited about Melbourne's new key recruits.
These include Chris Dawes, Cameron Pedersen, Shannon Byrnes, Tom Gillies and David Rodan. All these players have some experience and some of them are big bodies which is what Melboune lack a lot of. Of course Dawes and Pedersen will be of great assistance to Mitch Clark as they attempt to build up a forward line of giants.
Hopefully a lot of other players have built up muscle and can better aid in Mark Neeld's contested footy game plan this year. They help Melbourne move the ball around the boundary-line while dominating the stoppages if needed to due to the their brute strength.
Also the addition of Jimmy Toumpas, Jack Viney and Dean Kent are very exciting as all 3 have showed that they are hard nuts and will risk limbs to win the ball out of a heavy pack.

Port Adelaide:
New coach, but this time it's one from outside of the club which I think was needed. We've got some exciting prospects coming through like #6 Draft Pick, Ollie Wines, Sandover Medalist, Kane Mitchell and Jake Neade. We got a quality player in Angus Monfries traded over to us and I have a feeling he can be the 2013 verison of Brad Ebert for our team.
Just need some players to avoid injury. If Hamish Hartlett strings 22 games together he'll be fantastic and John Butcher and Jay Schulz need to stay fit for the forward line.

Melbourne
Have gotten rid of lots of players (some i liked) and gotten some new ones live David rodan shannon Byrnes and chris dawes( still dont know if this is good or not) They seem allot fitter than in recent years every player that ran out on the ground looked allot bigger than last year. Mostly the fact that we cant really do any worse than the past five years so it can only get better. I hope so any way.

regardless of the indisputable fact that i'm a woman, i comprehend what i'm speaking approximately whilst it includes activities. i think of that the Celtics gets back from their disappointing, yet achieved, season. With KG back, and the addition of Sheed (Rasheed Wallace). Ray Allen back with the Celts and gonna hit the threes, Watch. via the season is over, he in all hazard woulds have handed Reggie Miller fo maximum 3 policies made!

Collingwood:
the return of ball, macaffer, keeffe, krakour from injury will give us so much more depth. but ball can change our team around. he feeds the ball out to the runners.
the inclusions of young, lynch and russel and even more depth. we gonna have selections headaches come round 1. young is the runner we needed, but lynch is vital to our structure. russel is clean off HB.
also, cloke getting back to his best. looking for 75+ this year without injury.
mids are class. backs have alot to improve on from last year. shaw and obrien need to rebound and the inclusion of russel could release shaw on the wing and make him dangerous.
keeffe is aiming to be back mid season but he is a key defender we need.
a spot for crumbing fwds is going to be hot this year with krakour, macaffer, fasolo, elliot, didak and sinclair all looking to play in 3-4 spots.
