Question about WebOS for phones?
Hi, question - does anyone know if there is any chance in the near future that we could see new smartphones running on the WebOS platform? I have used the HP Veer for the past two years, and while the phone itself has been horribly buggy (no software support after HP dropped it), the OS - when the phone is working - is AMAZING! I've used iOS and Android quite a bit and the multitasking capabilities of WebOS blow them out of the water in my opinion. It's a shame to see it lacking support. So I was wondering if there is any hope to see WebOS on future smartphone devices, or am I going to just have to settle for Android?

LG just purchased WebOS from HP, so who knows maybe they will be releasing a phone with it. No definitive word yet though. Pretty much HP will not make another device with WebOS, in fact their latest tablet is now running Android.

Likely not. HP bought it from Palm, tried it on those phones you mentioned, killed it off & recently sold it to LG who plan to use it for their Smart TVs.
