Guys - which famous woman has the most beautiful face (in your opinion)?
I hear guys all the time telling me who their celebrity crushes are, who they think are the "hottest" - but I know they are taking into account the woman's whole body - and put a lot of stock into certain features of the body, ahem, when evaluating a woman's "hotness".
However, I'm not asking about "hotness" - I'm asking about women's faces, and which women you guys (straight guys) find most attractive - in the FACE. Who is most beautiful, bodies NOT taken into account?
Thanks for your answers!!

8 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoWhy can't I get warm?
This happens every winter - I live in North Carolina, so it's not like it's freezing cold. It's been in the 50s or 60s the past few weeks and once again, I've been getting so cold I'm almost in tears at times. I have a space heater, a heating pad, and 3 or more layers on half the time and I'm still so cold I get a headache and can't move. It's really depressing. I've had my thyroid tested multiple times and they've said it's normal. . I also can't gain weight. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much...
1 AnswerWomen's Health8 years agoHigh-calorie & High-fat foods that are NOT dairy or sugary!?
Hi!
I suffer from IBS as well as a general difficulty in gaining weight... not sure if it's related to the IBS or not. Anyway, if I don't consume around 2000 calories a day, I lose weight - and I'm painfully thin. Problem is, I feel (and look) terrible when I eat a lot of sugary foods and dairy products... as yummy as they are (which is unfortunate because they pack a lot of easy calories).
I need a list of foods that are HIGH in calories and fat (not just protein) but that aren't dairy or full of sugar. I'd rather not eat a ton of empty carbs, either.
I just don't have the time or energy in a day to be constantly eating - but each meal needs at least 500-800 calories a day (and that's a ton of food when you're avoiding sugar-rich snacks), plus snacks in between. How can I possibly do this?? I can't eat 3,000 avocados a day! Or a pint of peanut butter between meals!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness8 years agoBest way to say "young lady" or "young woman" in Spanish? (Colombian dialect)?
I am speaking to a 15-year-old girl from Colombia (on her Quinceanera), and I wish to convey a sentiment like "You have become such a beautiful young lady" and "I'm proud of you"... which expression of "young lady" best conveys this attitude? I have heard jovencita, muchacha, mujer joven, chica... I want to express that she is growing up and is beautiful, but I don't want to use a word that sounds disrespectful or condescending, nor do I want a word that would be used in a pick-up line... if that makes sense. Haha. I know all countries have slightly different dialects and was wondering what is the norm in Colombia.
Thanks so much!!
1 AnswerLanguages8 years agoProper wattage for tank hood light? (5 gallon, betta)?
Hi!
I just recently got a new betta fish (a male veiltail) - I had one several years ago who lived a long time, and I finally got another one :)
He's in a 5 gallon heated tank, and there is one live plant. The bulb in the hood is 10 watts, and while it seemed to work fine for my last betta, I noticed how bright it was this time around when I lifted the hood up and looked at the light. I can't even look straight at it, it's so bright. But 10 watts doesn't seem like a lot. It makes the aquarium look beautiful, but I'm more concerned with my betta's eyes. If it's too bright for my eyes, what does it do to my fishy?
Can a 10 watt (fluorescent?) bulb cause damage to a betta's eyes or behaviour? Should I get a weaker bulb? Other betta owners, what kind of hood light do you use?
Thanks everyone for your answers!
8 AnswersFish8 years agoAlternative solutions for PCOS? (underweight)?
Hi!
I'm 24 years old, and my gynecologist recently told me she thinks I have PCOS - although my periods are regular, they are very heavy (7 days +) and painful, and I display most of the other symptoms... She wanted me to try to take birth control pills, but the idea of manually controlling hormone levels in my body (with confirmed carcinogens, no less) - as well as the stomach and mood side effects associated with BC pills (I have lots of gastro problems - possibly IBS) - scared me away from taking them.
Surely there are other ways of controlling PCOS or hormonal imbalances without taking birth control pills? I've heard of the "Low GI" diet, but most people use this diet to lose weight, and I'm already severely underweight due to the GI problems! The only way I can even maintain my weight (not gain weight, just keep from losing weight) is to eat all the carbs and calories I can get my hands on - I try to avoid eating too much processed foods and bleached wheat products, and I've tried adding more green vegetables to my diet, but I just lose weight that way...
So... long story short... I might have PCOS, but I'm underweight and don't want to take birth control pills or stick to a low-calorie diet, because those would only make my GI problems worse.
Anybody have any suggestions as to other ways PCOS can be controlled? Has anyone had experience with this? Thank you in advance...
1 AnswerOtros - Televisión8 years agoSpanish language family game show on Univision?? (name of program)?
Hi! A friend and I used to watch a family game show that came on Univision back when we were in early high school (around 2003-2004, maybe later), and I'm trying to remember the name of it. I only remember the show vaguely... it was hosted by a man and they would typically have a few families on there (the family members would all wear the same colour t-shirts) and they would do random activities or contests - it wasn't just answering questions, they were often physical contests of some kind - kind of reminiscent of the things they used to do on Nickelodean (Wild and Crazy Kids, Legends of the Hidden Temple, that sort of thing)... they would often get very emotional at the end of the show. Someone might have gotten carried off in a chair, I can't quite remember - it came on around noon on Saturdays (I think??)
Does ANYONE have any clue what I'm talking about? Haha. It's driving me crazy. I would really appreciate any help.
3 AnswersOther - Television8 years agoDoes anyone know when, in a general sense, a norovirus vaccine will be available?
Please, only serious, educated answers. I have searched online for the latest information regarding a norovirus vaccine, and when one would be available to the general public - some articles have said "within 5 years," some say "by 2014-15" and some say it wouldn't be available for another 10 years. There are various independent groups of scientists working on this, in addition to Lygocyte (now Takeda) - so does anyone have any good/educated idea as to what kind of time frame we could be looking at?
It couldn't come soon enough, for me...
2 AnswersInfectious Diseases8 years agoWhy are dogs so desperate for human attention?
Have they been bred this way so that humans will feel important or needed? Or is it just because they are very social animals? I find that many behavioural problems in dogs arise because they aren't getting enough attention, and many dogs I've known will act inapproprately or unnaturally ANY time a human isn't paying direct attention to them. This can be very difficult when, well, you actually have a life and responsibilities. (I don't own a dog but I have just been observing the lives of other dog owners) ... for them, every act is somehow tied to, or scheduled around, their dog. I love dogs very much, as all animals, but I would find this constant need very stressful, and was wondering if there is a scientific explanation for it. Hope I don't sound callous!
8 AnswersDogs8 years agoCan nausea be primary symptom of IBS?
Hi, I suddenly started feeling very nauseous around September of last year and have been feeling nauseous nearly every day since then. I've been to the GI doctor and had an upper endoscopy (found stomach inflammation but no cause could be determined), biliary/HIDA scan, stomach emptying scan, biopsy of stomach tissue, was tested for H. Pylori, Giardia, and a number of other parasites and bacteria, had numerous blood tests for Thyroid hormone levels, celiac, any other autoimmune disease - everything has come back normal. have been taking Omeprazole (Rx Prilosec) and symptoms are still there, though they are much worse when I don't take it. I haven't been able to determine any specific triggers for the nausea, it's just there. It goes away sometimes but it always comes back. It's horrible and extremely depressing and causes me to be anxious most of them time, which of course doesn't help. I've become more withdrawn socially due to feeling bad most of the time and have lost over 10 pounds, and I was already underweight before all this started, so I desperately don't need to lose anymore.
After all these tests and so on, the doctor has simply determined I must have IBS, and has put me on Librax in addition to Prilosec. My question is, can IBS come on very suddenly (I can pinpoint the day it started) and persist with the only main symptom being nausea? Or could it still be something else? It just doesn't make sense and I'm only 23 years old, I don't want to be on medication for the rest of my life.
Please, any helpful insights would be much appreciated, I'm desperate (obviously, since I'm asking this on Yahoo Answers of all places).
- I also don't smoke or drink or have any known food allergies
1 AnswerOther - Health8 years agoQuestion about WebOS for phones?
Hi, question - does anyone know if there is any chance in the near future that we could see new smartphones running on the WebOS platform? I have used the HP Veer for the past two years, and while the phone itself has been horribly buggy (no software support after HP dropped it), the OS - when the phone is working - is AMAZING! I've used iOS and Android quite a bit and the multitasking capabilities of WebOS blow them out of the water in my opinion. It's a shame to see it lacking support. So I was wondering if there is any hope to see WebOS on future smartphone devices, or am I going to just have to settle for Android?
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans8 years agoProlonged, unexplained nausea?
Hi there,
I've been experiencing bouts of nausea for around 5 months, since last fall (it usually lasts for a few days, then goes away for a few days, then comes back, etc.) When it first began, the doctor thought my symptoms sounded like an ulcer (when the nausea subsides, it is replaced by intense, burning hunger)... but I had an upper Endoscopy done and my stomach was normal, aside from some slight inflammation. They did a biopsy, too, and no h. pylori bacteria was present.
I've also had headaches, abdominal pain, fatigue, weakness, etc.
Then I had a stomach emptying study and a HIDA scan (biliary scan, testing my gallbladder) - both came back normal. I still have to do a blood test for hormone imbalance and celiac disease, but I highly doubt it's either one of those. I have wondered about Giardia because I worked at a preschool/day care for several years up until last summer.
I just think it must be something because it came up so suddenly and hasn't gone away, and a lot of times it gets so bad I can't eat and I lose weight (and I can't afford to lose any more weight!)
And yes, as I've said, I am seeing a specialist but I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful ideas... ?
Thanks so much!
3 AnswersOther - Health8 years agoGentler alternatives to Nair/Veet?
I love the ease of use of depilatory creams such as Nair and Veet, but I have determined that I cannot use them because they cause my skin to break out severely after each use! I was wondering if anyone knows of a gentler (maybe even organic?) alternative to the Veet/Nair hair removers, without these harsh chemicals that cause my skin to break out. Any help is much appreciated!
1 AnswerOther - Skin & Body9 years agoStomach Ulcer with Nausea (no sleep)?
hi, I have been feeling extremely nauseous and my stomach has felt 'burny' for several days, along with pain on my front and back, so I finally went to the doctor yesterday afternoon and he concluded after lots of questions that I had an ulcer - either that or some other kind of acid build-up problem. He prescribed Omeprazole, which I am now taking. The problem is, I am already underweight and I havent been able to eat much of anything in the last few days, and on top of that, I havent slept! (in 3 days) Being still makes me incredibly nauseous so I have to keep moving around to keep it at bay. I'm exhausted and starting to see things. I thought about trying Dramamine but it said not to use it in the case of an ulcer. I'm utterly at a loss, desperate for help... Any suggestions?
1 AnswerOther - Health9 years agoHow to alter my diet WITHOUT losing weight?
I have recently been researching the negative effects excess sugars and dairy products (a high dairy and high glycemic diet) have on ones' skin (i.e. acne) and immune system, among other things. All this information is enough to make me really want to alter my diet, but almost every article I have read say that eliminating excess sugars/dairy from the diet is a "great way to lose weight" - and that turns into the primary focus of the article. In fact, all the reports about the negative effects focus primarily on the obesity aspect - so that poses a problem for me. I am a 23-year-old female who is actually underweight, according to charts. I eat frantically each day, consuming as many calories as I can, in order to gain weight, but it doesn't help - I may have gained 1-2 lbs in the last 6 months. If I slack off even for a day, I lose weight. So, my question is this:
How can I avoid the negative effects of excess sugars and dairy products WITHOUT risking the loss of weight? I have tried gaining weight through protein, such as nuts, but it has little effect and primarily builds muscle instead of fat, which simply adds to the "wiry" look of my frame. Any informed suggestions are much appreciated!
29 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoCould I get mononucleosis?
I am the nanny to three children and I recently learned that both of their parents have mono. Just before I learned this, I shared a drink (unintentionally) with the couple's youngest child. I am also in their house frequently. What is the likelihood of me contracting the infection? :(
1 AnswerInfectious Diseases9 years agoIs this normal for taking antibiotics?
Hi,
I have been taking a 10-day round of Cefdinir antibiotics. I know the risks of over-taking antibiotics - I have only taken them 3 times in my life: once when I was 5 for strep throat, once a couple of years ago for a severe upper respiratory infection, and now for a sinus infection I've had for several months.
The problem is, I am a little over half way through them and I just feel terrible! I have been EXTREMELY tired (drowsy, fatigued, just plain tired) - and dizzy. When I wake up in the morning, I am hurting all over. What's the deal? Is this par for the course with antibiotics? Maybe my body is reacting to the "battle" taking place? I have no idea. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Health9 years agoHow do you say "keep" in Spanish, as in a pet?
Hi, I wanted to say "he is the one we kept," speaking of a litter of kittens (two were adopted out and the one we kept) - as in "can we keep him?" or something like that. Is it "el es lo que guardamos"? I could not find that particular definition for all the words that mean "keep". If it makes a difference, I am speaking to a Colombian. Thank you!!
