Is this normal for taking antibiotics?
Hi,
I have been taking a 10-day round of Cefdinir antibiotics. I know the risks of over-taking antibiotics - I have only taken them 3 times in my life: once when I was 5 for strep throat, once a couple of years ago for a severe upper respiratory infection, and now for a sinus infection I've had for several months.
The problem is, I am a little over half way through them and I just feel terrible! I have been EXTREMELY tired (drowsy, fatigued, just plain tired) - and dizzy. When I wake up in the morning, I am hurting all over. What's the deal? Is this par for the course with antibiotics? Maybe my body is reacting to the "battle" taking place? I have no idea. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Also, the extreme pain in my sinuses has subsided, but I still have severe thick sinus drainage (to the point that it makes me nauseous) - will the antibiotics help this at all?

My son just got done with this antibiotic and had no ill effects. The most common problem can be dirrhea. Here is a web site describing the medication.. http://www.medicinenet.com/cefdinir-oral_capsules/...
If you are getting worse, make another appt with your physician.
