What's a good device that allows you to control a tv remotely from a pc?

The TV has an HDMI and USB port if that helps.

With Google boxes etc, there isn't more to control a TV?

Maybe what I should be saying is that I'm looking for some type of Set Top box.

    Just connect the cable properly and follow the instructions or ask the tv or pc customer....

    Remotely, nothing, short of an IR blaster system.

    If it is a smart TV that can be controlled by a tablet or smartphone, theoretically you could over the same "hooks" the smartphone app leverages.
