what could be wrong with my hen?
one of my chickens has started acting strange recently, it has been very cold this winter but they do have a heat lamp in there bed. when she is out during the day she normally walks around and scrapess at the grass, but for the last 3 days she has just been coming out and puffing her feathers up and standing in the same spot all day with her eyes cosed. but when i throw her some worms she runs for them ad eats the just like normal. she is going to the vet on friday, can i do anything to help her untill then?

Place her in a quiet warm area away from the others and do offer her water and feed if not eating scratch offer her other items she will eat. she could have a # of issues going on glad to read she will see a vet soon...

Till you see a vet you won't know what is wrong, It could be serveral things including an infection. It is important that you don't just let her stand out in the cold if she is not moving about. I would recommend you keep her somewhere warm with food and water.
