Acting/Modeling Career?

Where exactly do you start? I've read by so many people that FIRST you try out for the school plays for experience in acting. I will not do that so whats the next step? I have experience in modeling. I've had an agent for some time but she was more like a training agent to train me on runway modeling and everything in that category. I know it's hard work but I want this. I think I'll start modeling first, get into commercial modeling, work my way into runway, then cross my fingers and hope someone likes me enough to be in their movie as maybe even a background actor with one line!

Help?.

Update:

@Go With The Flow, that is horrible! But I do in fact have a backup plan if my acting dreams don't work out but I think I'm gonna push for it.

I know some of my friends (females) that do some modelling and generally I would think to get you noticed you would need a portfolio. Get some photos done to show how good you look and why they should choose you over someone else. Make sure its a reputable photographer before you begin your modeeling with them, then try showing off your portfolio to your agent and talent scouts to grab their attention and then just hopefully it will spiral upwards and better for you. Good luck! Ps remember who told you this when your rich and famous I'm expecting a shout out on tv sometime :)

I had a roomate that spent $20,000 at this.

About a decade later I found her off the side of the road in a broken down minivan with 3 hungry kids in the back. Broke as heck. No money for gas or food.

She was still as pretty as ever though.

And her nails were still perfect.

Lesson: Have a back up college degree.

The only good fans of All Time Low, Simple Plan, pop-punk bands like them, and Warped Tour-core bands are those that are willing to think for themselves. But that's harder to find than a good Warped Tour band or good whiny, mainstream, angsty pop-punk song, ain't it?

Bottom line: pop-punk=sh|t while Warped Tour=waste of time AND money!
