It costs the taxpayers (us) at least $100,000 an hour to fly Air Force One.So, instead of Obama going on one of his golfing trips or a vacation to Ia tropical island; Ten worthy familes are given air tickets to their chose location and $10,000 spending money.

America has 350 million people the last time i checked, divide 100 000 by 350 mil and you get the cent that you must pay per hour.
Being a president is a stressful job, do you really want a fatigued and stressed president?

dumb idea. the problem is if the president is not flying, the air force still has to pay for keeping AF1 ready to fly. what you should consider is the differential between the president flying and AF1 required maintenance. we don't "fire" military officers and aircraft technicians if they are not flying on a particular day, so the savings are nowhere near what you claim.

Dumb idea. It would be good to ground Air Force One, but that's as far as it goes. No damn vacations.
