Do I stay in class or drop it??? PLEASE HELP ME?

I'm taking an intro to Chemistry class and I'm failing it so far. It's midterm right now and I haven't been going to class for almost 3 and 1/2 weeks. I know it sounds stupid to probably 99% of the population but the reason is because I've been so horribly horribly depressed that I've neglected everything, gained weight, and I feel so apathetic and emotionless.

My proffessor emailed me and she let me know that she's planning on dropping me this week if i don't show up for class. The thing is that it's sink or swim right now and I feel so lost. I have no-one to talk to sincerely and I fear people's judgements. Please, what do I do?

Just give me something, anything. PLEASe!

Sounds as if you hate chemistry - so why on earth do it at all? There has to be something in the syllabus that you would prefer! Have a look - and pick a subject you would enjoy, not one you have to trudge through.

Dump chemistry, use the time to work harder on, and do really well at, your other subjects. And find out what other options are available - if there's something you really like the look of, go and see the head of that department, ask if you can transfer from chemistry in to that subject [read up a little about it first so that you sound knowledgeable]. If not, if they say there is too much to catch up on, then do it next term Though actually I did pick up a subject a year after the others had started it, and by working flat out in the vac, did OK.

OK, you gained some weight, so what - your brain is situated in your head, and its function is not affected by whether you are fat or thin. You'll be working so hard either to shine at your other subjects or to catch up with the new one that it'll drop off.

Now i have a deadline to meet so I am going to eat some chocolate to cheer me up and help me get it done today.... .

I say swim finish what you started. Write down everything that makes you depressed and try to correct it and turn it into something that makes you happy. Get a make over, go to a spa a place that's going to pamper you and don't forget to buy a new outfit. Live for the sun and the blue sky's and don't forget to wake up on the right side of the bed. :0

On the other hand why go to class for something that you'll never going to use in your profession or the future. Find a class that your going to be happy to attend. Stay focus and get back on track.
