Is it possible for a 50 mW, 405 nm violet laser to get you blind if you aim it to the eye?

I know that >5 mW green lasers are capable of permanent eye damage, but a violet laser (405 nm) is not entirely seen by the eye, so it can go more powerful, right?

Just because it isn't visible doesn't mean it can't damage more. UV has higher energy and is more damaging to tissues. But some glasses are opaque at UV so use them.

Yes, and in fact, you don't have to hit it directly, a random reflection off a piece is shiny metal will also do the job.

It kills your eyes even faster because it has more ultra violet.
