There is nothing wrong with pet store bunnies, just alot of tree huggers opinions. As far as adopting first, that is a good idea because some bunnies need homes that are in the pound. News flash for everyone...BREEDERS SELL TO PET STORES!! They are the same bunny. Trust me on that one...

It depends on the pet store. if the animals look unhealthy then don't get one from a pet store. all pets are bred somewhere so they kind of are from a breeder. Sometimes if the rabbits are older and there are both male and female in a cage you could take a female home and a few days later end up with 5 more bunnies. I have been told not to get rabbits from a pet store but sometimes there is no other option. if the rabbits look healthy and well taken care of then I don't see why you can't get rabbits from a pet store.

The only thing I could think of with getting a bunny from a pet store would be that it could be sick and you may not know it until you get it home. I did however get a lovely lion head bunny from a local family owned pet store and he was very healthy and happy bunny.
