I wouldn't have a set age. I'd just foster a very open relationship with my kids, and deal with situations as they come up.

I'm not a mom yet! And I will be 24 in 3 weeks!!!

However, I guess I have the asnwer for this question.

I think with my future kids, I would let them date as soon as they are willing!

Let it be 12 or 13 or 14 or 15... I don't care. As long as I know what type of person my child's date is. As long as my child trusts me and would tell me about their lives and their friends or crushes. And if the date is just a regulas child/teen as my child, then there's no problem with that. As long as the other kid comes from a good family and is a decent person and as long as they don't have sex or any sexual activities going on. I would trust my child. They can go out, hang out, hold hands. I will let them know the opposite gender. I would like to know about their "relationship" though. If they are still young, I hope they don't get "too serious". Just hanging out and remaining "pure", then it's fine.

I say this because i myself regret staying away from guys when I was a teen. I was scared by the society and my parents. And it basically handicapped me, lol :'(((

It would depend on how mature they act for their age,16 if they were responsible enough(probably not),17 would be better, you pretty much have no choice when they hit 18.
