What would be a good bottom feeder for my tank?
I have 4 different freshwater aquariums that all have different kinds of community fish. I don't want the same kind of bottom feeders I already have. I have a albino bristlenose in my 30gal mixed tetras, several pink ramshorn snails and a blue apple snail in the 27 angelfish hex and ghost shrimp in my 10gal betta tank.
My LFS doesn't have a big variety, so I order most of my fish/snails online. I need some ideas for a bottom feeder for my 55gal parrot cichlid/ram tank. I don't want another bristlenose and other than those the LFS only has common plecos which I know will get too big. I would like something unusual, I love the zebra plecos but the only ones I've found were over $300
Booboo- Yes I know plecos are algae eaters but they also eat leftover flakes and bloodworms. At least my bristlenose pleco does.
Justin- Find me zoidberg and ill take him!

You do know plecos are not bottom feeders they are algae eaters . Catfish and poached are the best they eat a lot of leftovers that wouldturn into ammonia if not eaten. Shrimps are good too my daughter has cherry shrimp and bamboo shrimp in hers and I use 4 cory cats and 4 ghost shrimp in my 30 g and I have 2 Otto cats and 2 snails for my algae
