Was the occupy wall street movement a revolution?

Was there some other point to it that was not so obvious?

No, a true revolution would've attempted to overthrow the current political order. Occupy was more about raising awareness regarding investor greed and and the government's unwillingness to do something about that.

Hardly a revolution. Yes it was very popular, but achieved nothing, really. And the protesters really didn't do much except hold signs and hang out.

I would call it a gathering, and not a revolution. People didn't trash or burn anything, they just gathered around in a park and complained about the government for a month.

It was just a bunch of disaffected people who believed that anyone disagreeing with them was evil or stupid. There was not much logic behind their ideas.

It would have been really funny if one of their rallies had bumped into a Tea Party rally. The resulting stupidity would have been an entertainment extravaganza.
