Why should we use floride in water?

Have a debate coming up and I am supposed to come up with reasons why we should put fluoride in water. Websites would be helpful.

    Because everyone drinks water, and it's a cheap, easy & efficient way to prevent tooth decay in the general population...

    It's the same principle by which most salt has iodine added to it to prevent people (children mostly) from getting rickets...

    If you need a handy "zinger" for the debate, ask your worthy opponent if government should regulate people drinking tea....tea is naturally LOADED with fluoride (especially Green tea, a favorite among the hippie-types who think the State should not put fluoride in out water!)...
