Why do we always see cow skulls in the desert?

It's just a representation of how harsh deserts are because a cow would not be able to survive there without help. The skull is usually only shown because the movement of the sands by the wind would cover up the thinner bones of the bodies. It's just a way of showing a harsh environment. They're not really found in deserts in practice.

When the pioneers and Native Americans crossed the deserts they weren't always able to find water and they and their animals perished. The most expendable animals went first. They needed the horses or mules to pull the carts or wagons. If something happened to the pioneers/ Native Americans and the horses/mules/donkeys escaped they were better at adapting to the environment That's why you see wild mustangs and donkey herds out West The second thing is because it is so dry the skulls don't rot rapidly. They can remain there for hundreds of years in fairly good condition. The mummies of Egypt and Peru can attest to that..

First and foremost, any ink that you decide to put on your skin will be there for a long time, (unless you decide to fade it with "Wrecking Balm" or laser.. eh not so cute..) remember its permanant and we all go through our "phases" that we may not be too happy with in the future. And you had mentioned you're only 14, if I were you I would wait until your atleast 18 to make a decision like that. I would take some time and play around with a few ideas. My recommendation would be to go to a tattoo artist and have them place the temporary sketched outline on your body so you can get a vision of what it could look like. It is your body and personal preference so the only real opinion that matters is your own. Your young and you will probalby change your mind a million times. Maybe start with something small and work your way up. The back piece your referring to will cover a large area of skin! However, I would also listen to advice as well to have a balanced way to decide the pros and cons before you go through with it :)
