Why do nice guys finish last?

They don't only the overly nice ones do because girls walk all over them. Nice girls finish last sometimes too because when in high school and the guys go for the hot popular mean girls so it goes both ways sometimes.

the whole issue seems so complex to me

people are saying that guys being nice are manipulative to get sex...but if you just be a bad guy to get laid - thats also manipulative no? - am I to understand you should be both be a bad guy and not just for sex? - My personal stance is to be nice and not be sexual in anyway unless all lights are green...but of course I DO want to get laid - im not gonna lie about that.

Also girls dont want a real bad guy. Lets say you actually killed someone - they won't trust you with a 10 foot barge pole, you're just creepy then. So do we then say what girls want is someone who pretends to be a bad guy but deep down has a heart of gold?? I dont know - Im asking this. I want to know. I want to figure it out.

Because humans are nothing more than moderately evolved apes with mammalian instincts. Women are naturally attracted to what they perceive as the dominant, "alpha-male" figure. What the user Unkown said isn't a lie however. Most women do like a man to be sensitive, in the sense that he isn't afraid to be himself or disclose his thoughts and emotions to his woman, but still show some sign of masculinity. Although if you're just genuinely a friendly, easy going guy and you aren't just sucking up to the girl to get her to like you, you just won't be sexually appealing to women as a jerk. Just the way it is. Not all women, but most.

because girls want bad boys! bad boys are fun, when they find out that bad boys ''playas'' cheat then they come running for the dull good boys who are so boring they run back to the ''playa'' boyfriend until he cheats on here again.

the world is not for nice decent honest people anymore. its filled with bad, nasty,mean people. and they are everywhere, and they like to step one the nice guys because they know we'll take it

Ummmm...there's a difference between nice guys that are stupid....and nice guys that are SMART.
