History or Art GCSE options?
I need to make my options by Wednesday. I'm taking Maths, English, Triple Science, RE, Geography, Business Studies, German and its between History or Art. I want to go into a career of medicine. I enjoy both subjects and am good at both but I don't know which one is better for my career.

I study all the GCSE's that you are studying apart from Business studies and German. I chose Art and I have the same ambition as you of going into a medical career. Art I think is a useful subject because you need to be creative with your hands in the medical career such as handling equipment etc. if you think about it, art is good practise. :)

Art, it will give you a break from academic subjects, n give you a lesson to look forward to. And tbh it looks like you have some pretty tough subjects and i suggest you have a more creative subject rather than head stuck in a text book, with hours of revising ect. I know you want a career in medicine but history wont help with this career as well as art wont, but i guarantee you will need a break from these subjects :)

When choosing your GCSE options it isn't always the best idea to only choose subjects that you enjoy. In order to pass your university course it might mean that you have to study courses that you don't enjoy doing. The best time to practise doing courses that you don't like very much and doing well in them is at school, so with this in mind choose GCSE subjects that are most suitable for your career choice.

Probably history, as its more logical. I took history and its great! My course involves the history of medicine, which im studying at the moment, and its amazing! I think it depends on what course your school offers

I would go for art seeing you have lots of academic subjects. Art would make it less tedious.
