if I sync my ipod, will it delete songs?
I havent used this ipod for years (its an old type) and I've connected it to the computer. I downloaded itunes and now I want to add the songs that Ive added to the library, to the ipod, but without deleting all the stuff thats already on the ipod (none of the stuff thats on the ipod displays on itunes yet). If I click sync, will it replace EVERYTHING on my ipod with the few songs that are in the itunes library?

Yes, syncing will delete everything on your current device and will add everything that's in your itunes library to your device. If you want to keep the songs on the ipod AND add the songs from library, my suggestion is this: tick the box that says "manually manage music and videos". This will allow you to drag songs onto the device without affecting the media already on the ipod. To find that "manually manage music and videos" box, simply click on the name of your ipod in itunes. Scroll down and you'll see a list of options, and just click the one I told you about.

I don't think it will replace them. It will probably only add them to you ipod and vice versea ;)
P.s.:you will never know if you don't try :P
