How to lower feed dogs on Brother sewing machine?

Hi everyone,

I have a brother VX-1125 sewing machine but no manual for it - can anyone tell me if I can lower the feed dogs on it so I can do free embroidery? And if so, how can I do it?!

Thanks :)

And here's your free copy of the manual: http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer...

If you can't drop the feed dogs (I didn't look in the manual), set the stitch length to 0, then cover the feed dog area with a piece of thin plastic or cardboard with a hole punched in the middle for the needle to go through. Tape the plastic down all the way around the edges, and you're good to go. Those fake credit cards they send you in the mail are perfect for this.
