What is wrong with LOTRO?

Do you hate LOTRO? Why? Give me something specific beyond 'it sucks'. Is it the graphics? The gameplay? The storyline? The lack of content? To easy to play? To hard? Or is it that you can't frag newbie players with your mighty <insert character class here>. Is it the lack of PvP? Is it to expensive? Tell me that's wrong with LOTRO.

Now, tell me what YOU play and why its better!

I'm just bored of the 'themepark' cookie cutter mmos (some call them wow clones even tho that's perty inaccurate). LotRO is definitely one, they're spit out of the assembly line by the dozens. Still actually a fun game and played it for a month or 2 but they just get boring too fast. Guess i've played too many of them. These days i have Path of Exile, Tera, and Mortal Online on my computer.

Tera is still your basic mmo formula but the combat is perty fun and is real-time action based. Path of Exile is basically Diablo but a ton o fun, could just use more content and skills but the actual skill tree is amazing. Mortal Online is a hardcore sandbox - no levels, no quests, and everything is player driven. It's full loot pvp and alot of fun.

So yea, i don't 'hate' lotro, lol.. or anything like that. I just am aware of what it is. Basic, themepark, wow clone, cookie cutter... whatever you call it mmo. Not neccissarily a bad thing but they are just a dime-a-dozen these days.

I don't hate it ... if fact I recommend people play it all the time. Honestly the only knock I ever put against it is it just doesn't keep my attention long enough for me to get overtly invested in which probably stems from me not building the relationships one needs to get invested in an MMO.
