I'm looking for a game as a gift (either PS3 or PC)?
The ones for whom this gift is for are 14-16 years old. I'm hoping for a popular game, but it can't be too violent and cannot contain magic. Maybe a racing game or something like that, although I hear they are quite fond of the game Minecraft or Starcraft or something like that (I apologize I can't be specific, games just are not my thing).
Any ideas would be nice. I would imagine they would prefer a PS3 game, mostly because they just got that system.

It is a huge game. The campaign will keep you glued to your seat for days, and its multiplayer mode is recognized as an E-Sport with millions of fans around the world.

Gran Turismo 5, a great racing game for PS3. It's going to entertain him for months.
I can't remember a good real-time strategy game (Starcraft's genre) for PS3. However, the new Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm (for PC) is coming next March 12nd. If he really likes this kind of game, there's a no-brainer.

The PS4 APU is comparable to a low selection CPU coupled with a midrange GPU and the XBONE is even worse. mutually as graphically extra effectual than the woefully out of date PS3 and 360, in some techniques those consoles (PS4 & XBONE) are actual WORSE than their predecessors. the clarification the video games on the 360 and the PS3 seem good is that the code is designed to take benefit of their proprietary hardware. in assessment to a pc, "pc continues to be extra versatile, yet heavily isn't extremely as good looking because of the fact the present consoles." Nope. severe end cutting-edge video enjoying cards stomp everywhere in the PS4 and XBONE. no longer even close. Incredible, incredible game. Not nearly as violent as other games out there, but violent enough that the recipient will not get bored. (Rated T for Teen) I've played it personally and it is one of my favorite games of all time, and trust me, I'm a hardcore gamer. He won't be disappointed.

Try getting them Little Big Planet 2 for the PS3. I'm in that age group and I love that game!
