How many 1/8 is in 3 1/4 inches?

im a little confused right now cause im trying to read floor plans and its saying 1/8 of an inch = 1 FT so i need to figure out how many feet it comes out to... PLEASE HELP!! Thank you!

    12" is represented by 1/8".

    The scale is thus 12/(1/8) = 96

    *If* you mean "What does 3 1/8 inches on the drawing represent in real life?"

    *then* the answer is 96 times 3 1/4 inches

    = 96*13/4 inches = 24*13 inches = 26 feet <<<

    conver 3 1/4 into denominator with 8

    3 2/8

    = 26/8

    so 26 of that 1/8 in 3 1/4
