How do you tell the missionarys you are not interested in god without being rude?

My sons go to a club run by the mormons so far they have manage to evade having he talk but tonight they have agreed to see them. They say they dont believe in god but they enjoy the club and the friends they have made there. How do they say the dont believe in god with out being rude and offending anyone?

Update:

My kids dont like being rude to anyone even if they do not agree with what is being said. I told them to pretend they are listening but they rightly informed me that that would be lying which is not right and they might want to talk again

Unfortunately the entire reason for the club is to rope people in and then bugger them into a conversion. That's what missionaries do. Provide a useful service to get people to come and once they're grateful hit them them up for a conversion. Seriously it's neither rude nor offensive to state ones own beliefs when being pressed to change them. Your sons should just say they enjoy the entertainment that the club offers but they are not open to conversion as the price of admission.

you will possibly desire to comprehend that, it is the instructions of christianity no longer God. it is the subject with the international on the instant we sense what christianity teaches displays what God is thinking. yet in reality in case you have been to envision the unique hebrew books such because of the fact the Torah and the Tanak you will possibly see that God mentions no longer something of faith. in simple terms regulations which to stick to.

Tough luck. The missionaries will stay on them as long as they're going to activities. If they just say it straight out, it might help. For example, "We really like your church, but we don't want to be members." If they really don't want the missionaries giving them lectures, they have to tell them they don't want to be a part of it. They can't show interest in the discussions or they will stay on them until they're baptized. However, the Mormon church doesn't have anything against welcoming non-members to their activities, unless of course they're things like going to the temple.

So your sons go to Boy Scouts and it is run nearby by

THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints.

If I were you I would investigate your own Atheism and see if in fact it

is even logical in the first place to be an Atheist.

Atheists Mass-Murdered over 260 Million people in the last century alone.

In China Atheists mass murdered over 80 million people and they had

only one reason for doing it, to reduce the population of China.

There was no other reason why the Atheists who took over the Chinese government

did this. They just went buck-crazy lining people up and then bayoneting people in the

front and back after being forced to kneel to Atheist soldiers like someone kneels to

God when they pray to God...

before they were ruthlessly murdered in plain sight of everyone.

So therefor you should really think seriously about whether Atheism is even true to

begin with, or is even logical at all.

Do you have a spaceship that you have traveled over every square foot of this

Universe and all the other endless infinite number of Universes that there are

to prove that there is not a God???

Even if you had done this, God could simply hide behind a Planet of a Star or

something like that, and then you would not be able to find Him. Therefor anyone

who has ever said or will say that science has proven that God does not exist

are doing something, that something is called lying to you.

You can't disprove God's existence through science, and you will never will be able to

don't fool yourself. The abstract truth is the abstract truth, there is nothing that you

can do to change or alter abstract truth. Your opinion is not going to change

abstract truth one way or the other. Abstract truth is eternal, abstract truth

    is divine.

Furthermore organized complexity of a creation proves that there is a creator.

The more complexity there is to something and the more that that something is,

nevertheless, organized, this indicates that that particular something was created

    through Intelligent design.

The more actual real scientific studies are done on things like DNA and

human biochemistry inteligent design becomes more impossible to deny,

except for the Atheist-Fanatics, the kind who killed over 260 million men,

women. and children in the last century alone.

All biochemistry is super complicated (massive parallel computers will never

be able to analyze even one mid-sized hormone protein in the human body)

yet it is shown over and over again to be extremely exceedingly organized...

by intelligence quite obviously. There is no reasonable alternative to consider on

    this matter anymore.

Don't be fooled. And don't try to fool others with illogical botched false reasoning.

God gave you a brain therefor He meant for you to use it.

What should you say when asked??? Tell the truth. There is an intelligence that

created this Universe and everything in it and all the other endless infinite number

    of Universes too.

Thinking is not answering a mulitiple choice question on some absurd test. Thinking

    is...

    thinking.

    God bless.

Tell your kids to choose which to be. Honest and without this group to hang around, or, to have their beliefs beaten down enough to eventually join their church--without believing in a single thing that is mormonism. Because that is what the mormons are striving for. Membership. They don't really care if your kids believe them. They want them to join their church, with its rules and payment schedule.

Can't have your cake and eat it too, kiddos... and Mom. Face the fact. Find another club to have fun with. Research how this church goes into Third World countries with cheap trinkets, gives them away for free to children who have no toys or have never seen candy, only to have them sign up as members. When the missionaries leave? The children and families wander back to their original beliefs. Yet the church can now crow--to itself--that they are "growing" in numbers. And they believe it, because they want to.

Now, do you honestly want your children involved with such an organization which exploits the poor, innocent, and uneducated, merely to boost their numbers shell game? If they are as good-hearted kids as you say they are, they wouldn't want to either.

As a Mormon missionary in Italy we used to do English Classes at our churches once a week, it was a great service for people wanting to learn or improve on their English.

Occasionally one individual would become interested in our gospel message after getting to know us - but the majority wouldn't, which wasn't a problem.

The reason we liked people just getting to know us can be found in these answers - most people advise you to be rude to the missionaries, easier said then done after you get to know them. If you know them you'll know that they certainly aren't idiots and once you get that then it's obvious that nice intelligent people probably don't believe wacky strange things.

I've been one of those missionaries, the guy saying that everything leads to conversion or an attempt at conversion is incorrect - every few months you'll have different missionaries come in, but it's not a narrow scoped push for converts.

What I'd recommend is just be honest and open, they get rejected all day long, they appreciate honesty. Tell them your not interested in the religious aspect of what they do, but if you enjoy the activity continue to go along with it - they'll be happy.

It shouldn't be difficult, just be open with them and you'll likely feel a bit silly for even imagining that it would be a big enough deal to ask this question about.

After my mission I returned to Italy a few times to see several of my friends that I met during English classes who never took our missionary discussions but remained friends with me for a long time. The missionaries will always hope that you would want to talk about God, but they'll always be happy for a friend and to help out another person regardless.

How about, "I have no interest in your religion, so I would appreciate it if you did not push it on me. Thank you."

However, personally I see no reason to avoid being "rude" in such situations. See, I consider it "rude" to try and push proven-false idiotic nonsense on me, so when they do that they're being rude. And offensive to any thinking person. And I consider it perfectly reasonable to tell them so.
