Should i drop out of high school?

Usually those online diplomas are scams and useless. Also, staying out of school and trying to study on-line will likely increase your depression. You are not likely to really be able to get yourself to keep up with studies without someone to help you stay on task. You will just isolate and get worse.

What you are feeling about school is not actually about school at all. It is a symptom of depression.

Go talk to your counselor and let him/her guide you toward treatment to help you get ok again.

Since your problems with your school work are a result of your depression, you can probably redo and/or get extra help.

Get help. Not wanting to ask for help or thinking it won't work for you is a symptom of depression.

It will work in time.

I have been on both the depresed student side of this and the counselor's side of this, so I know this territory.

You can be ok!

There is hope.

A high school education is not as important in my opinion as it's made up to be. My grandpa and many other people never got past the 6th grade. They started businesses of their own and did more than just ok. You are more important than school. If it's depressing you and causing serious problems, absolutely. Get out of there and try something else. Just know, that in my opinion and from my experience, Jesus can change any situation from bad to great and He can give you joy and success where there was not a hope of it before.

A lot of those "online HS diploma" sites are scams.

Any online high school you look at must be regionally accredited. If it's not, its degrees aren't considered real. So good online high schools for you to look at would be places like Laurel Springs and Keystone.

You also want to talk to guidance at your school. Some states offer online high schools that are regionally accredited and *free* to students from that state, so ask about this.
