Computer not working after power outage.?
I had my computer on during a power outage. When I turned it back on, it booted fine, but when I got to the desktop things started going wrong. I couldn't open Windows Explorer for anything and Ctrl+Alt+Delete doesn't work. A lot of desktop icons were blank. Sticky Notes was still running though.
After another power outage happened while I was trying to fix the problem, the same thing happened but with more icons gone. The computer works in safe mode though.
I was running Mozilla Firefox, Bitcoin, and a Bitcoin miner at the time.
Left it off for a few hours, still has the same problems.

2. If all hard drives are checked fine try reinstalling Windows see if the problem there

if your power is blinking from a storm, or whatever, turn the computer OFF. You should not be running during obvious power surges. You should also invest in a surge protector (they are not that expensive)
In the meantime, if the power has stopped blinking, leave the computer off for a few minutes. Then try to restart and see if it clears up.
