Thinking outside of the box, Greenman, I'm gathering they are like lawyers. (Had Barry and Michele Obama not been disbarred over something so awful he will not disclose it o us, those two'd still be lawyers).
This was done to me and others: they require a big up front payment and make you sign that you have no right to a refund no matter what happens. Then, a few days before the trial, after a year or so of them asking for more and more money all the time, they tell you they have another case and to find another lawyer, and there you are, broke. Without a lawyer and no more money for a new one. And they've got your money and now have better things to do.
In my case, I attempted to go to the attorney general for the committee in charge of wrongdoings by lawyers. I left my number and no responses for weeks, called again and again. Nothing. Went in person and the guy in charge of complaints on lawyers is none other but MY EX LAWYER, hired by the government... now messed up is that?!
Honest. So, seeing that so many lawyers are rip off artists who prefer to work for con artists who pay more than honest people wrongly accused, used or abused, its no wonder they get up there and say, "Hey we got their money. Lets just vote ourselves another raise, a longer vacation, and screw the voters!"
Sadly, a high percentage of voters are too lazy to research who did what and who voted how. They too often go to the polls largely uninformed, basing their decisions on the one minute ads. "His slogan is education" a parent says to themselves, and my kid is going to need one of those to make more than I do so they can support me" so they mark the dot by the name they heard on the radio or on T.V. Or "His ad says more jobs, and I need one" so an unemployed mother fills in that dot.
Basically, the reality is many people simply fill in the dot beside the names that sound the most familiar.
Eddie Murphy was in a hilarious movie I think it was called "The Politician" not sure. Its about a long term politician with a common name who never lost an election but died at a time when more newsworthy events took the front page so most people didn't become aware of his death.
The character Eddie played was a nobody who knew nothing about politics but had his same name, who decided to run for the same office the other guy had filled. He didn't put his picture up and just ran using his own name that was the last guy's name, and won by a landslide.

Now not except we scale back the significance of money in politics The drawback is that cash is so primary that we shouldn't have elections, now we have -auctions-. The candidate who spends essentially the most wins about 95% of the time, so it becomes only a fundraising contest. And when you consider that each events get their money from the same sources, you can't realistically anticipate their genuine agendas to be all that so much special. Job outsourcing and flooding the labor market with inexpensive immigrant labor are in the pursuits of the enormous corporations that run both our events. It's no longer a partisan situation. But the voters are conditioned to peer all problems as partisan. Like several two almost equal merchandise in any marketplace, the two parties spend all their money and time and energy differentiating themselves from one an additional, however they really aren't that a ways aside. And this explains why that 'radical socialist' Obama is extra worried with bailing out enormous businesses, banks, etc. And protecting their buyers and the 9-determine salaries of their executives than with the standard of residing of ordinary American working persons. It explains why wealth in the U.S. Continues to concentrate increasingly within the top zero.1%.

????? Uh, Obama meeting with congress-people in order to try to get Republicans to DO good stuff, instead on only doing BAD stuff, and blocking good stuff;
a filibuster over the question of whether a president can have Americans killed on American soil without due process,
Dunno what you're babbling about with that one. Oh, the act to help women and children escape abusers before they are murdered? That one?
Prisoners? No. People incarcerated awaiting deportation hearings.
Those aren't stunts.
As for jobs, the Rebpulcians have been sitting on Obama's jobs bill for over 1.5 YEARS now. Republicans don't WANT Americans to have jobs; they prefer having us starve.
The tours being cut doesn't really HURT anyone, the way Republicans have been hurting people -- costing them jobs, slashing programs that prevent starvation among babies, children, and seniors.
You seem very confused about what things are important.
Yes, it would be nice if Republicans didn't hate America, and would pass things to create jobs; given that's not the case, blaming everyone else, and blaming people for doing GOOD things is idiotic.

The Violence Against Women Act is simply a political strategy for Obama which would bring negative slant against anyone objecting to it so the conservatives voted yes as well.
This Act's basic points has changed it so there's no immunity for non-Indian who attacks female member of tribe on tribal land. Also keeps illegal immigrant from being deported for reporting abuse.
Basically it was pseudo-legislation used as the means to make sure that all politically identified minority groups could be tagged on to a specific legislation to recognize their preferred status.
Doesn't stop abusive police officer spouses from easily locating their hiding wife & kids in a safe house.
Doesn't stop law enforcement from protecting other abusive police officers when wife calls to report abuse.
Doesn't stop women after years of reporting abuse from going to prison for life after killing their husbands in self-defense.
