Who are the shortest Europeans on average?
My guess would be somewhere in Europe's far south, like maybe southern Spain/Portugal, southern Italy, or Greece, but I honestly don't know.
EDIT: I've also heard the Portuguese. Regarding Greeks, it appears that they're often fairly tall or at least average in height. Of the Southern Europeans, it appears that Greeks are the tallest on average.

the shortest europeans come from malta... (avg: 169 male) then portugal (avg: male 171) then italy (avg: male 175 ... with a southern/central italian avg of 173 and a north italian avg of 177) switzerland with a male avg of 175 and estonia also 175

I was also thinking Spain. I know that where I am from ( Romania) the men are actually very tall. Almost all the men in my family are at least 6'2. Northern Europeans are tall and so are Eastern Europeans. I was also thinking Spain. Greeks are not that short!

I would say Southern Europeans but can't decide on which ones are the shortest. Northern Europeans are taller.

italians though not as a whole. their genetic make is predisposed towards shortness and remember they are not roman and have had hundred of years of foreign invaders.
