What would be a good name for a female chocolate lab?
Mine passed away a few months ago and I am still grieving :( . We had her for 15 years. Thinking about getting another to fill the void in my heart.
I will go to a shelter to look for a dog. It doesn't have to be a choc. lab though.

Bonnie....NO...not all "normal" people wait to get there dog before they name it. Some already have a name picked out.
But "normal" people don't come on yahoo answer and refer to someone else as not "normal". Get over it.

Clementine, Sienna, Olivette, Sunshine, Laverne, Beatrice (Bea), Truffle, or whatever strikes your fancy when you see her. Or, find a needy pooch at the shelter who needs you. There are often a lot of Labs at the shelter - I think the going reason is "I didn't know she would grow"!

Personally I don't like names like fluffy and peanut because they aren't real names and don't have barely any meaning behind naming a dog peanut or fluffy

Candie or Coco. Puppies are wonderful to fill the ache in your heart. It will never replace your old friend. I also like to get rescues that often come with a name. My Gidget did not respond to her original name. I renamed her Gidget. It is a 1950's term for girl midget. She is a Standard Chihuahua.

Normal people name their pups once they get to know their personalities. YOU are the one who has to live with the dog's name for it's lifetime, so why ask total strangers?
