More so than the actual day, what's really important is that one sets aside a day in the week ot devote to God---

    Genesis Chapter 2:

    2. And God completed on the seventh day His work that He did, and He abstained on the seventh day from all His work that He did.

    3. And God blessed the seventh day and He hallowed it, for thereon He abstained from all His work that God created to do.

In Genesis 1, several times it tells us the the evening is the beginning of the day, so the Sabbath begins on Friday evening since this is the start of the 7th day. Sabbath lasts 25 hours.

Yahweh set aside the 7th day as the weekly Sabbath. Considering the Jews have been keeping the same weekly cycle for thousands of years, I would doubt that the 7th day has changed in that time. Our instructions are, as Christians who are grafted onto the Jews via the vine that is Jesus, to keep the Sabbaths to firstly keep the appointments He has with us (non-negotiable) and to be further blessed, not for redemption.

Yahweh prepares this day spiritually with a call for a double sacrifice, not any other day so we cannot choose another day, including Sundays that Satan has set aside for worshiping the sun.

It was the seventh day of the week, according to Genesis. So umm, Genesis 1.

The Sabbath is actually Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, since that's how ancient Hebrews measured days.
