Can you really replace MS Office with Libreoffice or OpenOffice?

    You can theoretically but not practically.I use the whole MS Suite and my roommates use Open office they do have small problems from time to time and use my laptop.

    Yes you can. Libreoffice is a better choice because than OpenOffice, because it's had much more development, tuning, and fixes in the last couple of years. OpenOffice has been standing still for a long time.

    More or less, but not fully. LibreOffice is now better than OpenOffice, btw. I use MsOffice.2013.

    They are pretty good generic version of Office software. They don't have all of the fancy bells and whistles, but they get the job done.
