    HCOOH + H2O <==> H3O+ + HCOO-

    acid ......... base ....... conj...... conj.

    ................................. acid ......base

    HCOOH / HCOO- is the conjugate acid/base pair. Formate ion is the conjugate base.

    HPO4^2- <==> H+ + PO4^3-

    The conjugate base is phosphate ion.

    There is no conjugate base for SO4^2-. SO4^2- is the conjugate base of the bisulfate ion, HSO4-

    HSO4- <==> H+ + SO4^2-

    acid .....................conjugate base

    Methyl amine is a weak base since it reacts with water to produce hydroxide ion

    CH3NH2 + H2O <==> CH3NH3+ + OH-

    base ....... acid .......... conj. ......... conj.

    .................................. acid .......... base

    i will help with #3, on the grounds that in case you be attentive to that, #8 would be a snap. In those issues, divide each p.c. by skill of the ATOMIC WEIGHT of each component respectively. For carbon, the load is 12, for hydrogen, a million, for nitrogen 14, and oxygen sixteen. to discover an empirical formula, you want to have the component with the smallest g-atoms equivalent to a million (for this reason nitrogen) and scale up or down the different factors for this reason. you will discover that the others could be fractions. circulate away them this manner, on the grounds that an empirical formula is basically that- from test.
