Girlfriends birthday. Tablet or necklace?

So I have narrows it down to these two choices. Something sort of romantic I suppose, versus something I know she wants. I was going to get her either a nice aquamarine necklace since its her birthstone, or a nexus 7/Ipad mini. Money is not an issue, I just need honest opinions

    If I were her I would want a necklace, its more meaningful. I'm assuming she works too so if she really wanted to, she could get herself a tablet. A tablet she will have for a few years but she should have the necklace forever.
